Chef Jose Andres can add a new line to his resume: professor. George Washington University announced Monday that the world-renowned foodie will be teaching the class "The World on a Plate: How Food Shapes Civilization," Eater DC reported.

Andres created the course, which looks at the intersection of food and society. Topics include the history of food, hunger and obesity and how food affects national security. DC Eater reports that the chef will be teaching some of the classes himself on Mondays next spring, which will surely fill up the course's 230 spots quickly. Other professors and a series of high-profile guest lecturers will lead the class when Andres isn't available, including the Travel Channel's Andrew Zimmern.
