Man in construction uniform robs Alexandria bank

The FBI and Fairfax County Police are looking for a man who robbed an Alexandria bank while wearing a construction uniform.

A man dressed in a green hooded sweatshirt, a yellow reflective vest with orange stripes, an orange hard hat and black sunglasses walked into the TD Bank at 6615 Richmond Highway on Oct 24 at about 1:30 p.m. He told a teller he had a weapon and demanded money, according to the FBI. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled through a nearby parking lot.

There were no injuries, according to police.

The man appeared to be talking on a cell phone during the robbery.

He is described as a black male, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, weighing between 180 pounds to 210 pounds.

The man should be considered dangerous, according to the FBI.
