Woman robbed of Veterans Affairs check

Authorities in Prince George's are looking for a man who robbed a woman of her Veterans Affairs check.

The man followed the woman to her car after she had cashed the check at a business on the 8700 block of Branch Avenue on Oct. 26. He approached her from behind with a handgun and demanded money, according to police.

He then forced the woman to drive him several blocks away where he exited the vehicle near Suitland Road and Regency Parkway.

Police described the suspect as a black male, last seen wearing a blue shirt with white stripes on the sleeves, blue jeans and black Nike Air shoes.
