It's officially war between conservative bomb-thrower Michelle Malkin and D.C. Councilmember Marion Barry. Months after Malkin launched an all-out offense against Barry for his remarks on "dirty Asian shops" in the District, her website Twitchy has taken him on over his annual turkey giveaway.

The Twitchy team's objection? That the giveaway requires Ward 8 residents to provide photo ID with proof of address to receive their free turkey -- linking this "Thanksgiving suppression" to legislative pushes across the country to require ID to vote, a move many Democrats labeled as voter suppression.

Malkin has little interest in local D.C. affairs beyond Barry. A search of Twitchy's site reveals 14 stories about the colorful councilmember and zero about his colleagues. Mayor Vincent Gray appears just twice on the site -- both in stories slamming Barry.
