A 25-year-old Lanham man was arrested for a New Carrollton stabbing, authorities said.

Arturo Cazares-Perea is charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to the Prince George's County sheriff's office.

On Nov. 4, Cazares-Perea stabbed another man in the 8300 block of Larchwood Street in New Carrollton after an argument over a picture that had been posted on the internet, authorities said.

The New Carrollton Police Department obtained a warrant for Cazares-Perea's arrest on Nov. 7, and he was apprehended in Colmar Manor on Thursday. He later posted bond and was released, and he has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Dec. 11.
