Police are looking for three men who were involved in an armed carjacking in Northeast Washington.

About 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, a man was getting out of his green 2002 Chevrolet Impala in the 3700 block of 22nd Street when he was approached by the carjackers. One of them pointed a shotgun at the victim and demanded his keys. The victim complied and was not injured, D.C. police spokesman Officer Araz Alali said.

The car was found a short time later in the 3700 block of 15th Street NE. It had heavy damage that appeared to have been caused by the car crashing into a wall, Alali said.

The carjackers, who fled, were described as three black males, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, with heavy builds. The man who pointed the shotgun at the victim was wearing a puffy coat.
