The man accused of being the East Coast Rapist pleaded guilty to abducting three teenage girls and raping two of them in Prince William County.

Aaron H. Thomas, 41, pleaded guilty Friday in Prince William County Circuit Court to two counts of rape and three counts of abduction.

The pleas are connected to the attacks on three teenage girls in Dale City on Halloween 2009. The girls were accosted and taken into a wooded area, where two of them were raped and the third texted for help.

Thomas had been expected to plead guilty to the Prince William County rapes at a hearing earlier this month, but he said at that time that he wasn't sure he knew what he was doing.

On Thursday, Thomas pleaded guilty to the 2001 rape of a woman who was moving out of her Leesburg apartment.

He is suspected in more than a dozen attacks that occurred from 1997 to 2009 in Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island. He was arrested in Connecticut in March 2011.
