Ends of games brings out best of Luck, Colts

Maybe it was not his best day. But Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck wasn't fazed by his three interceptions in a 35-33 victory on the road against the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The great ones never are, and Luck is quickly moving into that category.

His last-second touchdown drive was capped with a nonchalant flip to teammate Donnie Avery, who ran the final seven yards into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.

Want pressure? Luck was facing a fourth-and-goal with three seconds left. And he made that final play in style, even following Avery into the end zone looking to make a block if needed. That capped a four-touchdown day and moved Luck into third-place on the all-time rookie passing yardage list (3,596). Only Peyton Manning (3,739) and Cam Newton (4,051) have done better, and Luck is an excellent bet to pass both with four games left.

The Colts, a laughing stock a year ago with the league's worst record, are shockingly 8-4 and in excellent shape to reach the playoffs as the No. 5 seed.
