A man barricaded himself inside an Upper Marlboro home with a shotgun Saturday morning, police report.

Prince George's County Police arrived at the home on the 11900 block of Berrybrook Terrace after receiving reports of a "family dispute" at 1:57 a.m. Saturday, according to Cpt. Maria McKinney, a police spokeswoman. They found several people inside the home, including an adult male armed with a shotgun.

The police initially evacuated everyone from the house except for the man with the gun. They successfully convinced the suspect to surrender around 12:35 p.m.

The initial cause of the dispute is still under investigation, according to McKinney.
