Hair weaves have been stolen from a Greenbelt business, NBC Washington reported.

An armed robbery was reported on Dec. 6 at Her Imports, located in the 7900 block of Belle Pointe Drive. Greenbelt police spokeswoman Kelly Lawson would not comment about what was taken during the robbery, but the business' owners told the TV station that $23,000 worth of hair extensions were taken.

"I'm turning people away -- literally, like dozens a day -- 'cause there's no inventory," owner John Terry told NBC Washington. Her Imports sells hair extensions to salons, who use them on customers.

Lawson said that police are investigating leads in this case.
