A man was arrested Sunday and charged with arson in connection with a fire at an abandoned house in Seat Pleasant Sunday that left a firefighter with minor burns.

The fire broke out at about 12:30 p.m. in a two-story house on the 500 block of Eastern Avenue, according to Prince George's County Fire/EMS Department. About 35 firefighters spent 25 minutes putting out the blaze but it caused an estimated $100,000 in damage. A firefighter was treated for burns to his ears.
