In chef Mike Isabella's view, there's no such thing as too many cooks in the kitchen. Team Isabella announced Monday that starting in 2013, the first Monday of every month at Graffiato would be deemed "Industry Takeover Night." Chef friends and mixologists of the former "Top Chef" contestant will take over his kitchen and from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. serve complimentary snacks at Graffiato's first floor pizza bar. There will be drink specials offered at the actual bar.

The first chef hosting a mini pop-up will be Isabella's business associate chef Bryan Voltaggio, who will bring bites from his new Chevy Chase restaurant Range to Graffiato's Chinatown locale on January 7. On February 4, chef Scott Drewno of the Source and Erik Bruner-Yang of Toki Underground will serve late night Asian cuisine at Graffiato, with Toki Underground's head mixologist Colin Sugalski taking over the bar.

If you recall, Isabella is no stranger to pop-ups, though it's usually someone else's kitchen he's borrowing. Before opening his Georgetown restaurant Bandolero, Isabella and his crew served food at two pop-ups, one at the LivingSocial space and another in what used to be the Cleveland Park Tackle Box.
