One dead in Prince George's County vehicle crash

One person is dead and four others in serious condition after an automobile crash in Prince George's County Friday night.

The single vehicle crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on the 9300 block of Riggs Road in Adelphi, according to Prince George's County police spokesman Cpl. Clinton Copeland. When the vehicle left the roadway, one of the automobile's five passengers was ejected and was killed, said Fire and EMS spokesman Mark Brady. The other four passengers were taken to local hospitals with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, police said.
