Some Southeast D.C. residents might be missing their Christmas presents this year.

A FedEx truck was robbed around 10 a.m. Saturday as the driver made deliveries on Highwood Drive Southeast, D.C. police said.

A man wearing a mask and armed with a handgun approached the driver and said, "Get on the ground and give me the keys," according to police.

The armed man and possible associates then took an unknown number of packages from the truck. They fled in a taxicab, police said.

Police do not have any description of the suspects.

Delivery truck robberies are common around the holidays, police told NBCWashington, which first reported the theft.
