Police are seeking information about the man who robbed a Pizza Hut in Gaithersburg.

Wednesday afternoon, a woman called the business to order a pizza. When her call was answered, she was told that the store was being robbed, and she could hear someone demanding money. The woman then called police.

Officers with the Montgomery County and Gaithersburg police departments went to the Pizza Hut, located in the 200 block of Muddy Branch Road, and determined that an armed robbery had occurred and that the robber had fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident, county police said.

The robber is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a medium build. He was last seen fleeing the store on foot, wearing a cap and dark jacket.

Anyone with information can call Montgomery County police at 240-773-5100 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477).
