A memorial service will be held Saturday for the 28-year-old man who was fatally shot on Capitol Hill earlier this week.

The funeral for Jason Anthony Emma will start at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, located at 2609 N. Glebe Road in Arlington. Prior to the service, a wake will be held the Emma on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Murphy Funeral Home, located at 4510 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington.

Early Monday morning, Emma was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a black Audi in the 1200 block of C Street NE. He died at the scene. A death notice published in the Washington Post said that Emma was shot in a robbery.

"He was a child of kindness, truth, respect, and love; he carried these valuable traits throughout his life," Emma's family wrote in the death notice. The victim had recently moved to Capitol Hill and was looking forward to finishing his accounting degree and passing the CPA examination.

Police have said they are searching for two men seen leaving the area of the shooting. They were described as black males with heavy builds between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. One of the men was wearing a white T-shirt with dark sleeves.
