Police have arrested two men in the theft of two Alexandria police cruisers that were stolen on consecutive nights last month.

Daniel M. Harris, 31, was arrested following a traffic stop Sunday in Anne Arundel County and charged with grand larceny auto and possession of stolen property. Corie Yates, 33, was arrested Tuesday at the Alexandria Courthouse and charged with grand larceny auto, conspiracy to commit grand larceny and possession of stolen property.

The cars were recovered, but investigators have not found the missing police-issued Remington 870 shotgun and laptop computer.
