1971: Grace Slick and Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane had a baby girl, China Wing Kantner. After the baby's birth, Grace jokingly told one of the nurses that she wanted to name her baby "god," because she wanted her to be humble. The nurse took her seriously, and her reports of the incident brought on the birth of a rock 'n' roll urban legend.
