The man known as the "East Coast Rapist" was sentenced to two life terms Friday for a 2001 attack in Leesburg, according to media reports.
Aaron H. Thomas, 41, had pleaded guilty in November to charges connected to the attack, during which a woman who was moving out of her apartment was abducted and raped.
Thomas has already been sentenced to three life terms for abducting three teenage girls and raping two of them on Halloween 2009 in Prince William County.
He has been linked through DNA evidence to more a dozen attacks that occurred from 1997 to 2009 in Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut and Rhode Island. He was arrested in March 2011 in Connecticut after a tipster from Prince George's County called Crime Solvers.
