A fire forced more than 400 people to be evacuated from a Bethesda hotel early this morning.

Montgomery County fire officials said the fire started in an electrical room of a garage at the Bethesda Hyatt Regency hotel at 7400 Wisconsin Ave.

Authorities said guests were moved to a nearby Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School while firefighters battled the blaze at the 390-bedroom hotel.

A contractor who was working in the area suffered serious injuries, fire officials said.
