A woman was slashed with a knife across her forehead and arm after she and another woman got into a verbal argument on a Metro bus.

The two women started arguing at about 11:40 a.m. on Saturday while riding the U-8 Metro bus, which loops around the Minnesota Avenue Station, Metro spokesman Philip Stewart said.

While arguing, one woman pulled out a knife and slashed the other. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the attacker fled the bus. Stewart said police are on the lookout for the attacker.
