Three young adults were killed and a fourth was critically injured in a single-car crash in Anne Arundel County, police said.

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers went to the area of Piney Orchard Parkway and Riverscape Road in Odenton.

An initial investigation found that a 2005 Subaru WDX was traveling at a high rate of speed on Piney Orchard Parkway when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and the car struck a light pole. The Subaru then continued traveling and struck two trees, police said.

All three were 22 years old and from Odenton, police said. The passenger in the hospital is 23-year-old Michael Lee Phillips of Gambrills.

According to media reports, D'Augustine was in the Air Force and Schindler was in the Navy. Schindler and Warrington were cousins.
