A 31-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl have been found dead by officers in Germantown investigating a missing persons case.

About 8:49 a.m. Monday, Montgomery County police officers responded to the man's residence in the 12900 block of Pinnacle Drive after they received information that a missing juvenile girl may be at the home.

Officers were unable to make contact with anyone inside the residence and forced their way inside where they found both the girl and the man dead.

Police would not say whether there any were signs of trauma. The deaths have been deemed "suspicious" by police.

Police were investigating how the man and girl knew each other. Police said they will release their identities after notifying their families.
