It wasn't a surprise, but Victor Oladipo made it official.

Cody Zeller didn't have the best season at Indiana this year.

Just as Oladipo rocketed from a supporting role to All-American to overtake Zeller, he made his jump from the Hoosiers first, too, declaring for the NBA Draft on Tuesday. Zeller, who had started the season as the nation's No. 1 prospect, is expected to announce a decision on his future Wednesday, according to reports.

Oladipo, a junior guard from Upper Marlboro who went from 10.8 to 13.6 points per game and from 20.8 to 44.1 percent from 3-point range, is projected as a top 10 pick or higher. currently has him as the No. 5 pick.

Zeller, who averaged 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds, could go right behind Oladipo. has him No. 11, but there's no doubt that the 7-foot sophomore's stock has taken a hit.

Last year, District native Thomas Robinson was selected fifth overall, the first Washington-area product taken with a lottery pick since Michael Beasley in 2008.
