Dennis Rodman, the ex-NBA player and self-styled ambassador to North Korea, is planning a second trip to “just hang out” with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

“We have no plans really, as far as what we’re going to do over there, but we’ll just hang and have some fun!” he told Gossip Extra at a charity gala in Miami Beach on Saturday.

When Gossip Extra asked Rodman about Jong Un’s saber-rattling, Rodman dismissed war rhetoric, saying the Soviets’ rhetoric was worse in the 1950s and 1960s.

“The Russians were way out there, and they were acting on their threats,” he said. “He [Un] just wants to be loved. He just wants to sit down and talk. That’s all.”

During his last visit to North Korea in February, Rodman pledged eternal friendship to the Korean dictator. On that visit, the basketball star and the Korean leader watched basketball and partied.

Meanwhile, Secretary of State John Kerry was in China this week meeting with Chinese leaders about ways to get North Korea to stop its development of nuclear weapons.

“We also joined together in calling on North Korea to refrain from provocations and to abide by international obligations,” Kerry said on Saturday.
