Did you hear the sound of congressional staffers' hearts skipping a beat Thursday? Miss America, Mallory Hytes Hagan, visited multiple House lawmakers to discuss preventing child sexual abuse, which is Hagan's title platform. Judging by the photos she shared on Twitter, it looks like most lawmakers made time to meet with the beauty queen in person.

On the same day, Kate Walsh, dressed in a bright red pant suit, took a whirlwind tour of multiple newsrooms (which she documented on her Tumblr) and lawmakers offices to discuss environmental issues on behalf of Oceana. She also wrote that she was nearly run over by a bus while biking in Georgetown on Wednesday. She dined that night at Rasika West End, which she called her "favorite Indian restaurant in D.C." Walsh is attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday.

Martha Stewart spent most of Thursday at the National Building Museum for the annual Smithsonian Craft Show. She dined at Blue Duck Tavern on Wednesday night after attending the event preview benefit.

Finally, MC Hammer has reportedly been in town all week, spotted eating at Jaleo on Thursday and working out at Sports Club/LA. He popped up on the big screen (along with Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va.) at the Verizon Center, dressed to support the home team, Tuesday night at the Washington Capitals-Winnipeg Jets game.
