The Huffington Post has sent an email from their “Open Reporting” team to all of its readers asking for more stories on gun violence. The open-sourced reporting team has already created a map of 2,240 gun deaths since the shooting in Newtown, Conn., linking each death to local news sources. It appears that they now want stories that haven’t made the local headlines.
