A 17-year-old District boy was arrested after he drove a stolen car and fled from police in Vienna, police said.

About 5 p.m. Tuesday., D.C. police asked Virginia State Police to help them find the boy, who was driving a Chrysler Cirrus that had been reported stolen out of Roanoke. A state trooper located the car about an hour later on Nutley Street near Interstate 66 in Vienna, state police said.

The trooper tried to stop the Chrysler, but it took off and crashed into a parked car a few blocks away, police said. The teen then bailed out of the car and hid in nearby bushes, but police were able to find him and take him into custody. The boy was arrested on juvenile charges of possession of a stolen vehicle and eluding police.
