A woman was shot in Northeast Washington Friday night, District police report.
Around 8 p.m., police found the woman unconscious on the 1000 block of Bladensburg Road Northeast, a few blocks from Gallaudet University and the popular bars and restaurants of the H Street Corridor. As of Saturday morning, she was still in serious condition.

Police identify car thief
Prince George's County Police on Saturday have identified the second of two suspects in an armed carjacking earlier this week.
Police believe 20-year-old Christopher DeWayne Barnes, of the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue in Southeast Washington, collaborated with 17-year-old Malik Hasaam Wilkins in a carjacking on the 2200 block of Seton Way in District Heights Thursday morning.
Wilkins, of the 5300 block of Clay Terrace in Northeast Washington, and Barnes approached the car early Thursday while wearing masks and wielding a gun, police report. The victim relinquished the car and was not injured. The suspects fled into Southeast Washington while under police pursuit.
After the car hit a stopped car and a school bus, the suspects jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Wilkins was arrested, but Barnes escaped.
Prince George's County Police are offering a cash reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
