Prince George's County police have obtained warrants for a Northeast D.C. man suspected in a string of bank robberies, police said.

Stephon Fortune, 23, is charged in connection with the March 20 robbery of a Clinton SunTrust bank and the April 24 robbery of an M&T bank. He is also suspected in a third recent Prince George's bank robbery but has not yet been charged in connection with that incident, according to a police spokesman.

During the robberies, Fortune allegedly received money after passing notes to bank tellers. Fortune is in custody in Charles County and awaits extradition to Prince George's County.
