Pete Wentz, bassist and lyricist of Fall Out Boy, spun some tracks on the rooftop of Eden Lounge on Friday night following a sold-out show with the band at the 9:30 Club. Fall Out Boy is back on tour with their first new album in years, and the I Street club just opened a private third-floor bar called the Brimstone Room. Wentz, who used a fog gun on the crowd during a break from DJ duties, dedicated "Crush on You" by the Jets to the District during his set.

Earlier in the day, Wentz was in Columbia Heights proving his philanthropy. He stopped by 826DC, the writing-focused nonprofit founded by author Dave Eggers, to speak to students from Duke Ellington School of the Arts about songwriting and the creative process.
