Logan Circle diners robbed at gunpoint

Diners at a Logan Circle restaurant were robbed at gunpoint, and police are asking the public to help identify the suspect.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. May 17, while the couple was seated on the veranda of the Pizzoli's Pizzeria, 1417 12th St. NW. Surveillance video shows the robber walk up and casually address the man and woman. He then pulls out a handgun and points it at the couple, who then give the man their valuables.

The robber is described as a black male wearing a white shirt, shorts, dark shoes and a skull cap.
