Conservatives who believe there is a link between the White House, President Obama's campaign and the IRS probe of Tea Party groups opposed to the administration want a former special projects aide and campaign aide to testify on her White House meetings with the IRS chief prior to the election.

On Friday, conservative leader Brent Bozell became the first to urge House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa to call the former aide, Stephanie Cutter, to Capitol Hill to dish on her meetings with former IRS Commissioner Doug Schulman.

Cutter, a former White House adviser and Obama deputy campaign manager, appeared on CNN's "The Lead," where she revealed the meetings last week. She said, "many of those meetings were for health care implementation. I was in them with him. So there is nothing nefarious going on."

Conservatives, however, suspect a link between the White House and the IRS's focus on the president's enemies. They also don't like that the IRS will enforce Obamacare's tax laws.

"Cutter's meetings are hugely relevant not only with regard to the IRS scandal now being investigated but also to the future of Obamacare, which can and likely will lead to even more abuses of power and use of intimidation tactics by the Obama administration and its Chicago-style politics," Bozell, head of the group ForAmerica, said in a statement to Secrets.

ForAmerica's Bozell: Former Top Obama Aide Must Testify in Congress on White House, IRS Meetings

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - ForAmerica Chairman L. Brent Bozell III today asked House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa to call on former top Obama political adviser Stephanie Cutter to testify before Congress in order to answer questions about the meetings she said she attended at the White House with former IRS Commissioner Doug Schulman.

"Chairman Darrell Issa should demand that Stephanie Cutter testify and if she is unwilling to do so, then Congress should subpoena her. A political hack meeting regularly with the head of the IRS to discuss the policy of Obamacare? That makes no sense. Numerous meetings with a high level White House political operative and former IRS Commissioner Doug Schulman to discuss 'Obamacare' bring this scandal into the front door of the Obama administration. New revelations from Cincinnati IRS employees saying essentially they were following orders from Washington to keep digging, combined with Ms. Cutter's numerous meetings with IRS officials, is not just a coincidence. Ms. Cutter's meetings are hugely relevant not only with regard to the IRS scandal now being investigated but also to the future of Obamacare, which can and likely will lead to even more abuses of power and use of intimidation tactics by the Obama Administration and its Chicago-style politics. Ms. Cutter must testify. The American people deserve an answer from their so-called public servants."
