New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner continues to slip in the polls in the wake of his latest sexting confession.

According to a just-released New York Times/Siena College poll, Weiner is in fourth place, far below the top ranking he enjoyed just a few weeks ago. Weiner garnered 10 percent of the Democratic vote, behind frontrunner and city council speaker Christine Quinn, who earned 25 percent. Quinn is trailed by former city comptroller William Thompson, with 16 percent of support and public advocate Bill de Blasio, who has 14 percent.

Weiner has declared he will not drop out of the race.

He had been leading in some polls until he admitted on July 23 that he continued to send sexually explicit messages and conduct phone calls with several women outside his marriage, even after similar behavior forced him to resign in June 2011.

A Quinnipiac University poll released July 29 showed Weiner had dropped to fourth place, with 16 percent of the vote.
