Former-Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., continues to maintain his statistical tie with Gov. John Hickenlooper, D-Colo., in the Colorado governor’s race.
A new Quinnipiac poll released Monday shows Hickenlooper at 46 percent and Tancredo at 45 percent.
Quinnipiac also showed a statistical tie in it’s June poll – showing Hickenlooper at 42 percent and Tancredo at 41 percent.
Hickenlooper still polls above the other Republican candidates in the race with a 7 point margin over State Sen. Greg Brophy (47-40) and a 5 point margin over Secretary of State Scott Gessler (47-42).
48 percent of Colorado voters say that Hickenlooper does not deserve re-election while only 45 percent say he does.
Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,184 registered voters for their poll with a
margin of error of +/- 2.9 percentage points.
