AMHERST, N.Y. (AP) — Hillary Rodham Clinton is scheduled to speak at the University at Buffalo as part of the university's Distinguished Speakers Series.

Wednesday's trip will be Clinton's second to upstate New York in recent weeks. The former senator and secretary of state spoke earlier this month at Hamilton College, telling the audience that it was difficult to recall a time when "politicians were willing to risk so much damage to the country to pursue their own agendas."

Clinton represented New York in the U.S. Senate from 2001-2009 before being named secretary of state by President Barack Obama, who she campaigned against for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.

Polls show she would be the leading contender for the White House in 2016 if she decides to seek the presidency again.
