Connect for Health Colorado, the state Obamacare exchange, sent an enrollment letter to a dog after his owner attempted to enroll for insurance through the exchange.
“I thought, ?Wow, this is so awesome,' " Shane Smith of Fort Collins, Colo., told the local Fox affiliate. “They have gone out of their way to insure my 14-year-old Yorkie.”
Smith used his dog's name for a security question. “They must have just put it in the wrong slot or something,” he speculated.
In the video for the story, the reporter notes that Smith tried to enroll in Obamacare because his previous plan was canceled under the law.
