Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., signaled once again that he will oppose the budget deal passed by the House, criticizing its failure to address the national debt.

Rubio was challenged by CBS' "This Morning" co-host Norah O'Donnell who suggested that perhaps he should be encouraging a "rare outbreak of bipartisanship" in Congress.

"Well I think that's good and I've worked on projects before that involved Democrats. I think compromise is a good thing, but compromise also has to be a solution." Rubio said. "I mean compromise just for the sake of compromise so we can feel good about each other I don't think is progress for the country."

Rubio added that the "ultimate goal" of Congress was to solve problems like the tremendous national debt.

"When is there going to be urgency around here about addressing that?" Rubio asked. "This budget does not do that."
