Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean crowed at the news that Obamacare reached 7.1 million signups on healthcare.gov, pointing out that this was the beginning of a big turnaround for Democrats' political prospects.

"I actually predicted this would happen," Dean said proudly. "And by June, this will be a positive for Democrats."

Howard Dean pointed out that red-state Democrats had "missed the boat" by failing to campaign on Obamacare.

"You can't run away from a vote that you made, your opponent is certainly not going to let you get away with it, and you're going to look weak," Dean said. "One thing people cannot stand in politicians is weakness."

Dean advised Democrats to "campaign like crazy" on Obamacare and "beat the daylights out of Republicans" for blocking the law.

"I would hit these guys over the head so hard, they're going to be sorry they ever brought up Obamacare," Dean concluded.
