Today's Washington Examiner Morning Examiner features the ever-increasing situation in Iraq. Iraq's second-largest city, Mosul, is under attack and the United States is considering moves to stoop the insurgents. Media reports that no boots on the ground are being considered.

President Obama and first lady Michelle are off to North Dakota today to visit a tribal nation and then will head to California for a commencement address at the University of California Irvine and a Los Angeles area fundraiser.

Republicans continue their search for a new majority leader following Eric Cantor's surprising loss in Tuesday's primary. California Congressman Kevin McCarthy has gotten the endorsement from Cantor while Speaker of the House John Boehner has remained on the sidelines and won't formally endorse anyone before the June 19 election.
