Extra security will be in place at a Prince William County high school today after graffiti last week suggested a student might bring a gun to the school, officials said.

The graffiti was found in a bathroom stall at Potomac High School in Dumfries, police and school officials said. Police don't believe it is a credible threat, and the school notified parents Monday.

Prince William schools spokesman Philip Kavits said this morning that "everything is operating quietly and normally at the school."
