Star of both stage and screen Kevin Spacey will be receiving the prestigious Helen Hayes Tribute at the upcoming Helen Hayes Awards ceremony next month in Washington. A familiar face on the arts advocacy front, Spacey is receiving the award for both his theatrical talent and his work ensuring that the arts continue to be funded. Spacey joins other well-known movie and stage actors in getting this distinction, including Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones. This year's awards ceremony will take place on April 23 at the Warner Theatre and be followed by the Ovation Gala at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in downtown D.C.
