< p>The Secret Service wasn’t too busy answering questions about call girls in Colombia to take notice of Ted Nugent’s remarks at the NRA convention in St. Louis over the weekend. “If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will be either dead or in jail by this time next year,” Nugent said.

Whether or not the comment was an actual assassination threat or just a bad joke, the Secret Service is investigating Nugent’s statement. “We are aware of it, and we’ll conduct an appropriate follow up,” an agent told New York Magazine.

More footage from the convention has emerged in which Nugent further proves his rhetorical finesse, comparing Obama and Democrats to a coyote that should be shot.
