Her allies are making the case that she isn’t an untested politician, like former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and that she came to the Senate with more government experience than Barack Obama, having been a state attorney general before joining the Senate.
Still, few expect Romney to make a pick until right before the GOP convention in Tampa, Florida in late August. Several party officials, like former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, are urging him to hold off and take into account the political landscape as the race tightens.
