Who: Dan Rather

What: On "Good Morning America," Rather insisted his debunked 2004 story about George W. Bush's National Guard service was true. He added that he was merely the victim of a propaganda campaign to the contrary. "I'm not at CBS News now because I and my team reported a true story."

Why its dim: After an investigation completed in 2009, CBS forced out their senior vice president and three producers because of the gross errors in the story.

Cure: When you're wrong, you're wrong. Apologize and move on.
