Two men have been arrested in the sexual assault of a 50-year-old woman in Fairfax County, police said.

Rivelino Villegas-Posada, 34, and Jubencio Castro, 24,  both were charged with rape and aggravated malicious wounding, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Police charged Villegas-Posada on Sunday and Castro on Tuesday.

Early Friday morning, a woman was struck with a blunt object and sexually assaulted in the 2400 block of Gallows Road in the Merrifield area, police said. The suspects also took cash from the woman, then fled on foot.

Police spokesman Officer Bud Walker said the men will be charged in the robbery in the future.
