America's favorite nonagenarian (yes, we had to look that up) Betty White will be paying the District a visit Thursday to talk about her big pet cause: animal welfare. White will be interviewed by Sam Litzinger, a correspondent for CBS Radio News and the host of WAMU's "The Animal House," to talk about her life as a "zoophile," for a program entitled "Betty White's Animal Instincts." The comedian and "Hot in Cleveland" star will be appearing on behalf of the Smithsonian Associates at GW's Lisner Auditorium at 7 p.m. Sadly, tickets for the talk are sold out, but folks are welcome to contact the Smithsonian Associates to be put on the waiting list.
