Romney Day One: OK Keystone, kill Obamacare, push jobs

He isn’t even the official GOP nominee yet, but today Republican Mitt Romney began circulating his agenda of what he would do on his first day in the Oval Office, a three-point plan focused on energy, jobs and health care.

In a new TV ad titled “Day One,” Romney says he would push to begin work on the Keystone oil pipeline out of Canada, approve job-creating tax cuts and replace Obamacare with “commonsense health care reform.”

The ad is part of Romney’s effort to focus on the economy and highlight what he sees as misguided policies of President Obama. Polls back up his focus on energy jobs and killing Obamacare. It comes at a time when several different polls show Romney’s approval and favorability surging, especially among independent voters who are focused on energy and jobs.
