Capital Bikeshare will celebrate its 2 millionth ride on Monday at the Blind Dog Cafe.

Since its creation in 2010, the program has grown to accommodate more than 150,000 rides a month. The bike-sharing system in the District and Arlington, the largest in the United States, passed the 2 million mark on May 17.

"We'll keep working toward providing a great service and a great system and helping people get around, helping people have fun and helping people be healthy," Capital Bikeshare spokesman Chris Eatough said. - Jacob Demmitt
