Maryland State Police are looking for information about a large amount of cash lost early Thursday morning in Anne Arundel County.

An employee of a Glen Burnie convenience store told police that he believes he lost a bank bag containing the cash about 5:45 a.m. Thursday on northbound Interstate 97 near Route 100. He was on his way to make a bank deposit, put the bag on top of his sport-utility vehicle and then forgot to remove the bag before he drove off, according to Maryland State Police.

The bag was gone when a trooper passed through the area shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday. The bank bag is light red and marked "7-11," police said.

Anyone with information can contact the Maryland State Police Glen Burnie Barrack at 410-761-5130.
